We received a batch of muscle cars from Carrera to test out. I decided to see how they stack up on plastic and wood tracks, so I enlisted the help of my buddy Reckless Racer to put these cars through their paces. First, we ran them on his 75' Sport track. Later, the cars were raced on a 135' Ogilvie wood track with copper braid. We were interested to see how the cars ran with and without magnatraction. The fastest on Sport tracke was the Fast and Furious Mustang. This car lapped our Sport test track in 7.35s. This Mustang features a new chassis which is different from the yellow Mustang in this test. It would be a good challenger against a Scalextric Mustang or Camaro. It lapped the Ogilvie wood track in 10.4s, or fourth fastest. The Mustang also features working headlights and taillights. The headlights are of the blueish "xenon" LED variety. There's some spill through the bodywork of this car, but the lights are certainly bright enough to drive the car in the dark with. The second fastest-car on Sport was this black Dodge Charger with pimpin' spinner wheels. I have to admit that this car kinda grew on me. The red stripe across the rear flank of the car is a nice touch. This Charger lapped the Sport test track in 7.43s and was second-fastest on the Ogilvie at 9.9s. The long wheelbase made for a controllable car on the wood track.Third fastest on the Sport track was the old-school Dodge Charger street car. I love the look of the wheels on this car as they're not too shiny. The yellow Charger lapped our mag track in 7.63s and was a respectable third on the Ogilvie track, lapping it in 10.0s.Fourth fastest car on the mag track was the Plymouth Superbird, lapping it at 7.65 seconds. On the Ogilvie, this car was slowest with a lap time of 10.5 s. The top-heavy nature of the Carrera muscle cars made them difficult to push too hard in the curves. The rear wing is easily detachable on this model so it's not likely to get damaged if the car is raced.Fifth fastest on the Sport track, but quickest around the Ogilvie was this Shelby Mustang. It lapped the mag track in 7.82s, almost half a second slower than the Fast and Furious Mustang. On the wood track it was half a second clear of the field lapping at 9.4s.Slowest on the Sport, and second slowest on the Ogilvie, the pimpin' Pontiac GTO brought up the rear. The Goat managed 8.08s on the mag track and 10.4s on the wood. The metallic red paint on this car was beautiful and really set off the chrome. All of these cars were very smooth runners right out of the box. They're geared for better braking than previous Carrera muscle car releases, and are certainly stuck down enough for those who like to race magnet cars. The stock motor had enough grunt to really get these cars motoring down the long straights of our test tracks. It was a lot of fun trading paint with Reckless Racer in order to establish our test times. The longer wheelbase cars could be made to step out on the Sport track when pushed hard.If you're more likely to run these cars on a wood track then these are not a bad choice. All of the cars featured a very smooth drivetrain with concentric wheels, and grippy enough stock tires. I'm sure that with a bit of lead placement the tippy nature of these cars can be tamed for non-magnet racers. While the cars are heavy and certainly drive that way, it's what you'd expect from these classic examples of American iron.

Alright, i just happened to come across this car’s specifications. Barabus Sportscars, a specialty engine and vehicle manufacturer has created the most powerful supercar. The Barabus TKR produces an exotic 1005 HorsePower and can go from Zero to 60 mph in just 1.67 seconds. What’s even more interesting is that the car manufacturer says that this car has a top speed of 270 mph. No kidding, but this does make Barabus TKR the world’s fastest beast on road. Why it’s top speed is 20mph more than Bugatti Veyron, which i think was the fastest car till now.
Power comes from a 6.0 liter V8 twin-turbocharged with dual intercoolers. The car has a full carbon fibre body and chassis. Further details remain sparse, but the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is £360,000 (668000$). Worldwide volume is projected to be 300-400 cars over the estimated three-year production run. Arghhh… That’s it…
This is how the beast looks like:

As we all know, gas prices continue to skyrocket and the economy is sputtering. down. For people who have the “need for speed”, the only thing that matters is going extremely fast down the road.
Now if you’re looking a fast car that you can also haul 6 people, or store lots of groceries, you’re out of luck “speed racer.” These cars are built for speed and looks, and not much else.
For example, the French-made Bugatti Veyron races from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and effortlessly cruises to a top speed of 253 mph.
Tom duPont, who’s the publisher of duPont Registry, a gallery of fine automobiles, cautions that superfast cars “aren’t for the faint of heart financially or physically.”

This is the new Fastest street leagal car in the whole world, stock, it has 1183 horses and can hit speeds up to 273 mph this izz the hottes fastest car it blew the lambo out of the water

Suzuki Swift X Concept

Rate this News:
Do you remember the Suzuki Swift Sport test drive that we made a couple weeks ago(3rd page of the news)? If not you should stick around more often ! Well, to make it short it left disappointed about the performances but satisfied with the design. What was even more disappointing is the fact that Suzuki racing cars, mostly represented in the JWRC(Junior World Rally Championship, 1600cc)are brilliant. It started a couple years ago with the Ignis and it continues with the Swift, the proof being 3 cars among the top 4 of the category on a total of 5(Swift)engaged !All that we ask for is more sensations behind the wheel of a Suzuki Swift !Well it seems that the japanese manufacturer from the Shizuoka prefecture heard our call and presented the "Swift X Concept" at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Salon. While the stock Swift has got a soft and sporty design , here, we are taken into another dimension; the racing dimension, at least from what the exterior tells us. The body kit(front/rear bumpers, side skirts, rear wing)is impressive and almost fully made of carbon fiber, the exception comes from the rear where the job done on the visible part of the exhaust system is very nice.It is obvious that this Swift wasn't made to be taken on muddy rally stages but rather on the sweet tarmac of a race track, or is it ?Once the "Lambo-doors" opened we get to see an interior mixing the Racing World; bucket seats, steering wheel, rollcage...and the Tuning World; neons and a huge and well designed audio system in the back.In the end this Swift X Concept probably stands where it belongs in this Tokyo Auto Salon, the quality of the work is again excellent, we'll see in the future if this was simply a Concept or a little bit more.

Hydro's President and CEO Eivind Reiten and State Secretary Steinulf Tungesvik of the Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications took a spin in a hydrogen-powered car during the opening of Hydro's hydrogen fueling station in Porsgrunn last week.
"The future belongs to those who can develop new energy solutions with little impact on the environment," Reiten said at the opening ceremony.
"The work with the Hydrogen Highway and the hydrogen station here at Porsgrunn is an example that it is possible to find solutions that are good for the environment when politicians, the authorities, organizations and industry pull in the same direction."
About 40 public and private partners are cooperating in building the 'Hydrogen Highway' between Oslo and Stavanger.
In addition to Oslo, Porsgrunn and Stavanger, stations will be built in Lyngdal and Drammen for the Hydrogen Highway opening in 2009.
Reiten helped State Secretary Tungesvik fill up the first "tank" of hydrogen in one of the new vehicles. Tungesvik was also the first to actually drive one of the cars for a short tour.
"Hydrogen can be one of the future’s most important energy carriers for transportation. It is, however, vital to produce the hydrogen from renewable energy sources, or from fossil fuels in which the CO2 emissions has been taken care of," Tungesvik said, before sliding behind the wheel.
The petrochemicals plant at nearby Rafnes supplies hydrogen as a by-product of its other activities , and the energy used in the hydrogen production comes from pure hydropower. An undersea gas pipeline transports the hydrogen from Rafnes across a fjord to the hydrogen station.
The station is the first in Norway that is directly connected to the source of production, which also lessens the environmental impact of transport. The location near a large industrial site also makes it easier to expand later, as demand for hydrogen increases.

Suzuki Kizashi

If you do down the ’Ring today, you’re sure of a big surprise… because you’ll see the new Suzuki Kizashi saloon running round, getting ready for launch next year.
The first we knew of the existence of a Suzuki saloon was when the wraps came off the Kizashi concept at the Frankfurt motor show in 2007. Since then, there have been two more concepts, cunningly called Kizashi 2 and Kizashi 3, as well as shots of heavily disguised cars in grainy spy shots. But now, our spies have spotted the production car virtually undisguised lapping the Nürburgring. Engine-wise it’ll get at least a 2.0-litre turbodiesel, and 2.4-litre four-cylinder and 3.6-litre V6 petrol engines mated to an auto box. The car is being developed with four-wheel drive too. There are also plans for both hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell versions too, but these won’t bit ready until 2012 at least.

American Suzuki, partnered with System Simulations, is now making itvery easy for owners to obtain genuine, factory-produced, printedcopies of specific Suzuki Owner’s and Service Manuals. These are exactreplicas of the Owner’s Manuals that are provided with every new Suzukimotorcycle, ATV and scooter, and the same Service Manuals used bySuzuki dealership technicians. They contain accurate, factoryspecifications and the latest technical updates to ensure allinformation is completely current. For customers and collectors unsureof their Suzuki’s year and model, Model ID Guides are also availablethat cover years 1970-1990 and 1991-2009. Suzuki is even makingavailable rare and out-of-print manuals for pre-1980 models by specialrequest.

The Hayabusa, Suzuki's Straight-Line Weapon

The new Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R is seen here with a limited-edition white-and-silver paint scheme. Since it was first produced in 1999, the Hayabusa has been Suzuki's main claim to high speed. While it is not their most nimble racer and track performer, it is still their fastest straight-line weapon. It arguably has the fastest top-end speed of any production model -- at least until the test results come in on the new Kawasaki ZX14.
Suzuki Kizashi 3

Suzuki Kizashi 3 Preview – 2008 New York Auto Show: Suzuki’s latest concept for their upcoming sport sedan strongly delivers on the automaker’s promise to take the next step, at least when it comes to styling. Whether or not the automaker can deliver on the goods remains to be seen, but – wow – what a stunner. Due to be sold as a 2010 model, the concept that debuted at the New York Auto Show was the third and final installment of Suzuki’s Kizashi series, and almost looks drivable now: save for a few of the obvious concept traits seen above.

Suzuki Kizashi 3 Concept - Notable Features
As of now, little is known about the sedan’s features, except that the vehicle will offer all-wheel-drive and a V-6 that punches out 300 or more horsepower. Reports also indicate that Suzuki plans to build a crossover and wagon (see Kizashi 1 and 2) from the model’s base, though neither of the first two concepts were as close as Kizashi 3 to actual production.

Suzuki Kizashi 3 Preview - Under the Hood
Powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission, the Kizashi 3’s for-sale version is tabbed to do about 300 horsepower. All that power goes to all four wheels courtesy of Suzuki's all-wheel-drive system. As for wheels, the Kizashi 3 debuted with 21-inchers, all four of which as pushed out to the corners of the car. The company is mum on the details, but it's likely you'll see a smaller or more efficient engine when the car debuts as a 2010 model.

Suzuki Kizashi 3 Preview - Design
Simply put, it's a stunner. And here's hoping that the "Kizashi Silver" paint job seen in New York is more than just a show paint job, and that they may actually make a for-sale color that looks like the one on stage. It's not just the paint that makes the style special, however. Note the graceful lines and strong front end design. The headlights look fully integrated, without too much trickery or design gimmick. The grille is aggressive and strong, yet fits with the sloping style of the car. Above the beltline, designers fashioned a graceful, roofline with what looks to be a long front windshield.
Suzuki Kizashi 3 Preview - Competition
Suzuki might have a winner on its hands, and it'll need it, because the Kizashi 3 will have more rivals than a dog has fleas. From A to Z and around the globe, there's a sporty sedan that will line up against Suzuki’s model. New or recently redesigned competitors include the Honda Accord, Hyundai Genesis, Nissan Altima, Pontiac G8 and more.
Suzuki Kizashi-2

Suzuki Kizashi Concept Car

As we told you a few weeks ago, Suzuki's got themselves a concept car here at the Frankfurt Auto Show and it's called the Kizashi. We don't know much else about it mostly because we can't seem to find a press release on it, but it looks kinda sweet, don't it? The one thing we do know is that according to MoneyControl India, which may be a website about controling the world's banks, India's banks or just about personal finance — they think it's going to be built and Suzuki will be sending a lot of them over to the land of the big Tata. We'll see. We'll also let you know if we get a press release on it.

That what Mazda has done with the 2009 Mazda6. The ambiance is better, but is the food still any good? Read on. Tested by Aaron Gold, your Guide to Cars at
